Parks Puppies and Parakeets of Camberwell

The 2021 Camberwell Arts Festival mixed the indoors with the outdoors, the real with the virtual reflecting on these extraordinary times.

For our mini commission, celebrating Camberwell’s outdoor public spaces – which have been a lifeline for many during the pandemic, this textile installation features puppies playing (another lockdown phenomenon) and populations of parakeets.  Now almost as common a sight as squirrels in London, they give us a small glimpse of the lands outside South East London that we hope to visit again one day soon…
